Our Story
International Feminist Film Festival since 2019
VWFF – 1° Edition
Going back to the history and essence of the Festival, it had its first edition in 2019, when forty short films made by women from twenty different countries were screened in the classic Lichtblick-Kino cinema in the Pankow district.
VWFF – Online Edition
The global outbreak of CoVid-19 not only has resulted in challenges that required all us to cancel a number of projects, new productions or personal plans but moreover also is exposing the existing and persisting inequalities in our societies and having a heavy impact on the lives of people living in deprivation or facing difficult socio-economic circumstances.
In the meantime and in response to this disruption- and the unprecedented, to make the Vierte Welle Festival 2019 Online, as a digital festival and as a space of opportunity.
.
VWFF 2° Edition
After 2020 marked by the pandemic, the second edition of the Festival will be 100% online.
#NIUNAMENOS Special Edition.
Screening short films made by Latin American filmmakers who claim to be part of the feminist movement “-Not one (woman) less-“ that emerged in Argentina in 2015, which would later expand on a large scale to several countries in Latin America and other regions of the world. It is a protest group that fights against violence against women and its most serious and visible consequence, feminicide.
VWFF 3° Edition
In 2022 we were able to return to the cinema and held the third edition in the Brotfabrik.
